Mission Statement

Mission Statement

We as a church are actively involved in presenting the glorious gospel our Lord Jesus Christ. We endeavor to follow the instructions of our Lord in Acts 1:8 “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth” Our ultimate goal is to see souls saved in our own community and to establish indigenous fundamental Bible believing Baptist Churches around the world.

In Our Community

  1. Evangalistic visitation by the members of our Church
  2. Visiting the shut-in and helpless
  3. Helping widows indeed as described by I Timothy 5:3
  4. Supporting evangelist who are in full time ministry
  5. Rescue missions (a shelter for those who are down and out) A place where they can be helped with physical needs and hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ for spiritual needs. Calvary Baptist Church in Carl is actively involved in supporting the Gainesville Rescue Mission through our young preachers, our prayer and our financial support.

In Our Nation

Some years ago God blessed our church with brother Don and sister Judy Jackson who have since that time worked in the Midwestern part of America. With the support of this church and other like-minded churches they have been able to see God do great things as he has enabled them to establish two Bible believing Baptist churches at the present with we trust more in the future.

First is the Calvary Baptist Church of Sabetha Kansas. This church began as a mission by Bro Don and Sister Judy Jackson in the late 1990’s and had was dedicated in 2003.

The Second is the Grace Baptist Church of Hesston Kansas This church was started as a mission by Bro Don and Sister Judy Jackson in late 2000 and was dedicated in 2005.

Both of these churches are Fundamental Bible-Believing Baptist Churches carrying the light of God’s grace to the world and we at Calvary Baptist Church in Carl are thankful to be a part of these great works.

It has been a blessing to see our church have the opportunity too financially and prayerfully be a part of this ongoing work in America’s heartland. Although the Jackson’s are part of a mission organization, from which they also draw support, they are directly under the authority of this local church and its pastor. We believe this is the New Testament pattern and teaching for missions.

In Our World

We presently help support missionaries in 15 foreign countries. Missionaries who are preaching the Gospel, establishing fundamental Bible-believing Baptist Churches as well as being good ambassadors for our Lord Jesus Christ.

Most of the financial support for these works come from offerings above the normal giving of our people.
